I have over ten years of experience as a counsellor and family practitioner supporting clients with a wide range of issues. I support adults, children and young people, couples & families.
My therapeutic approach is warm, non-judgmental and empathetic, focusing on listening and exploring thoughts and feelings at your pace, prioritizing emotional well-being throughout the therapeutic process.
I have extensive experience supporting children, young people and families, including supporting parents and working with family dynamics. My career began in nursery nursing and developed through family liaison, mentoring, and frontline support in educational and clinical settings before progressing into person-centred- psychotherapeutic counselling and systemic-relational work with families and couples.
I have a wealth of experience supporting young people through their counselling journeys and helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, social isolation, sense of belonging, parental mental health, school attendance difficulties, anger-related reactions, gender identity issues, school transitions, peer relationships, SEND issues , family breakdown, bereavement and domestic abuse.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and abides to their ethical frameworks for good practice.
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate; along with UpToDate training in Safeguarding.
Training, Qualifications & Experience:
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Post Graduate Diploma in Family Focused Practice and a L5 Certificate in Relational Therapy (Couples Therapy). I am also a qualified Systemic Family & Couples Practitioner and Clinical Supervisor.
My approach adopts a unique & creative approach and apply concepts of person centred, psychotherapeutic and systemic elements . I endeavour to work therapeutically to understand emotional dynamics and communication patterns, assisting couples and individuals in identifying harmful patterns and exploring triggers behind relationship difficulties to improve communication and achieve realistic goals.
I have extensive experience working with clients who present with neurodivergent traits using an approach that is inclusive and tailored to clients’ unique needs and look forward to hearing from you.
