Hopi Ear Candling

An ear candle treatment is a gentle, soothing therapy that involves applying a lit candle to the clients ear, allowing it to draw softer waxes and toxins from the ear. Some of these are then oxidized or turned into vapours and burnt. The warm air from the burning candle passes into the ear canal before being gently drawn back up to the top of the candle in a chimney effect. The warm air containing the herbal extract vapours from the candle helps to soothe and invigorate the ear.

This ancient therapy is proving very popular in the West. It is extremely relaxing

Natutal ear candles are often unscented and without chemical ingredients. Other candles have had oils and scents added to them to enhance the relaxation process.

The traditional candles are made using pure beeswax, honey, essential oils and organic cotton. With a hollow tube they ‘draw’ out the excess wax from the ears, which also has a cleansing and balancing effect on the whole body.
