What is an Indian Head Massage and what makes it so unique?
Origins of Indian Head Massage
An Indian Head Massage is often referred to as “Champissage” or the world’s greatest massage because of its calming effect and ability to alleviate many ailments (see list below). The Indian Head Massage originates from India and is considered ancient and sacred to those who practice it. Additionally, this simple healing solution is based on the Indian Ayurvedic healing system; this is what makes it so intriguing to those who practice it. The Indian Head Massage was brought over to the UK by Narendra Mehta. Narendra Mehta is known for his experience with touch and using “Champissage” to rebalance the body’s energy flow and restore a sense of peace and calmness.
What is an Indian Head Massage Therapy?
An Indian Head Massage is a gentle massage technique used on the upper body. It promotes a sense of calmness, restores balance, and relaxes the body. Essentially, it is a shoulder, neck, scalp, arm, and face massage. Additionally, this healing therapy leaves you totally relaxed, rejuvenated and uplifted. It is unique because of its overall ability to alleviate many symptoms that modern medicine can’t cure.
What happens during Indian head massage therapy?
As explained above, this gentle treatment is peaceful and soothing. The client sits in a chair with his or her eyes closed. The client’s upper back, neck, shoulders, arms, scalp, and face are gently massaged. The treatment lasts about 45 minutes leaving you in an induced state of relaxation and contentment.
